Ageing

Was on a diabetes forum last night (i know i have no life) and someone asked a question about looking young for there age. About 6 of us were all diagnosed at the age of 12 just before pubity and that none of us look our age we all look at least 8 years younger then our actual age. Yet another person said she was diagnosed at 18 and looked 10 years older then her actual age would like to know if theres a reason to why this is I had never heard of this before but surely it's not just coincidence that so many people have had this happen. I have experienced a lot of people saying how young I look for example I can never by a packet of cigarettes without having to show my ID when guarented theres a 12 year old in front of my getting served for the same thing someone last year asked me how well I did with my GCSEs him thinking I had not long took them  bearing in mind i actually did them 10 years ago friends say this is a good thing however they don't get ID for 15 DVDs and  don't get chatted up by school boys hmm
