Diabetic complications I myself have 2 Charcot and proximal neuropathy at 26! I've had un stable blood sugars for at least 8yrs I know! If I knew this would happen at such an early age it might have made me look after myself better or perhaps been shown a diabetic patient with no feet and blindness. I know it's my own doing and dont need a lecture but perhaps I would have needed one back in the day every diabetic is told of the possibile complications but this normally happens (later in life) apparently (wrong answer!) but you can kind of expect it when your older and have had the disease for like 50/60 years not 13! But not all diabetics have complications depends how well you are at stabling your blood sugars and getting enough support. A lot of people think its an easy disease just dont eat sugar and take your shots but your blood sugars can be very sensetive for instance stress, exercise can sometimes have a big affect. Every time you eat is a maths exam (and im shit at maths) but its not always bad there is also the posotive like free prescriptions and not having to go full term when you come o have a baby. But on a good note I have now started looking after myself better sooner rather than later and all that I am on a mission my blood sugars are now under 12 (USA 216) with the odd random 30! (USA 540) But it isn't going to happen over night so on I go...... :)

Cure's will there ever be a cure for every terminal illness and such other diseases I saw someone wearing a diabetic t-shirt saying its ok we only have to wait 10yrs for a cure bearing in mind the t-shirt was made in 1979. Who gets to choose who has the cure should it be first given to children, un damaged people who have other health issues thanks to the disease/illness there already battling if there's so many people with the same disease or illness how is it issued. Perhaps post code lottery or first come first served, rich people against poor I really hope there is a cure for all these evil and progressing terminal illness and diseases but will you ever be cured or is it away of keeping the population down and the NHS getting into less debt??

On the up!

Yesterday was a bad day I'm not privileged to always have good days unfortunately but had a chat with myself (shrink knows about this) and have decided to look on the bright side today this could possibly change tomorrow. Sorted a few things out today lots of decision making and some sad decisions made too but it's for the best I hope? Once I had sorted all that I decided to make some cakes first attempt I admit not just because I've never made any since school days but also did it all in my wheelchair. I now know how a child feels trying to reach something on the work top and also how to take paint off the walls at the same time (haven't mentioned that part to the parents yet?) The cakes came out better than I thought for saying I struggled but it did take my mind of things. I do realise my blogs must be boring to the majority of the human race but you just keep reading them don't ya!

Today I went to my drama meeting except it was a committee meeting we have one every year apparently? Except I had been nominated to join the committee. I hate award ceremonies I don't mind getting on stage acting like an idiot in front of hundreds of people but getting in front of 20 people with about 50 years of acting experience is terrifying. Then I had to get up and hobble to the front of the room tripping over my crutch and nearly falling on top of the bottles of wine (might have changed there mind if I had fallen on it). But it was an evening out and took my mind off things and got some handy advice about work and a glass of wine and some cheese out of it can't be bad.

My day to day life is becoming a chore

You got diabetes because your fat

Never a day off not allowed no break

Think I'm having a hypo watch me shake

If I'm not dying of thirst 

My bladders about to burst

Sugars high make you tired 

To much time off work gets you fired

Try and get your sugars stable 

Hide injections under the table 

Lose a leg you may go blind 

Always constant on your mind

Thought it was about time I came out the closet? Naked ha! I'm abit of try any thing kind of girl this is not always good but this time worked out fine after I got over the nerves which are still a little there. I'm not confident about my body out all even when people tell me other wise but naturism is a good thing for confidence believe it or not your not judged by anyone and the majority of people look  exactly the same. I've been to a couple of events (only wanted to do a runner once) and i had a great time and really recommend it I know it's not for everyone and that's fine but most people don't really understand it and get the wrong idea and are quick to criticise but how can you judge something if you've never done it. I'm still a newbie but hopefully by the end of the year I won't be but it took me a while to press the publish button but thought fuck it lets get naked!!

Boring topic today - weather Where has summer gone? Or any other season for that matter think everyday is turning into summer, winter, autum and spring think its autum today. Maybe it is global warming doing this but who's generation will it affect most not ours possibly my children don't fancy bringing children up in constant snow. Will be fun teaching them the difference between seasons what comes after winter? That's right another winter well done!

Do any of your dreams come true? Do you believe in karma? And does luck really exist I was starting to think there are lucky people in life and unlucky people and if your a lucky person then that's fantastic now f#@k off! But is your life already planned out for you or do you get to make the choices or has god or whoever already decided it for you. Are people suppose to follow certain paths or does the devil guide it for you or do you have voices in your head telling you wrong from right. Sometimes it seams some of the genuine normal innocent child can become a callous murderer. Maybe we're being provoked by a past life or a future life not yet decided for us? Maybe were already dead and not aware of it stuck in between life and death hmm. Im aware that this blog is quite depressing but like I said I'm extremely bored at the moment so to much thinking involved and to much time on my hands. APPOINTMENTS- I had an appointment at the foot clinic today that's not the problem I would say a  11:10am appointment was a reasonable time getting to the waiting room was fine till I saw the amount of people there. There were no seats mainly because most of us are in wheelchairs but this meant my mum and dad standing yes I have a chaffeaur I did ask my mum to ask the lady in the wheelchair next to us if her seat was taken ha! But it was rammed. Got chatting to a few people who had appointments at 10 who were already an hour behind it was getting on for half past twelve now and bearing in mind I had to be at the splint clinic for 12 so got moved on to there first. In all I was waiting for 2 hours to see the doctor she is very thorough and this is why I think they are always running behind I wonder if this is the same in all hospitals? However while I was waiting the gentleman next to me noticed my buzz light year boots who turned to me and said I used to have 2 of those that's when I noticed he only had one remaining leg yikes!!

• Seeing as I'm off work at the moment I find myself bored and looking on the Internet for stupid and random things. I don't have much to write today seeing as I'm rarely able to visit the outdoor world I'm quite worried that I even get excited about leaving the house even for hospital appointments (sad) springs to mind. So today I've written down some stupid, funny and clever facts that I have found on the net. I'm not taking any liability if you want to test them or not hope your brains are ready to turn to mush.

• Daydreaming I'm sure I'm not alone at doing this but I do probably do it more than average. Watching some children play I went back to my own childhood which is a painful memory for me not that anything really bad happened just bullying and being made to look different (just the norm then). But was trying to remember what it was like before this disease ruined my early teen years I really hope for children these days (I'm not that old) that things have changed. For example (my days of school) actually being sent home from school for having a hypo as they obviously didn't know how to feed a child a mars bar or having to leave the classroom to have a snack whilst the teacher telling all the children that Emma has an in curable illness and needs to leave the classroom could she just not had said I needed to pee! Talk about making you look and feel different because being the only child in school with this condition wasent bad enough. I'm pretty sure things are better now days seeing as juvenile diabetes isn't that rare any more and the epidemic of type 2s (yes there's 2 types) and yes we are allowed to eat sugar!!! So Hopefully schools are better educated these days or at least have more common sense in what to do during a hypoglycaemic attack (low blood sugar) or at least I live in hope.

Human traffic

Since being in a temporary wheelchair I know exactly how a baby feels. After going into town on Saturday with a couple of friends made realise how scary it is to be wheeled into on coming human traffic. I don't like being pushed as it is (unless struggling) so being wheeled into to people is really frightening not knowing if there gonna move out the way or not but if they don't? (I will ram your ankles). But do have a hell of a lot admiration for disabled people specially when people are constantly stopping dead in front of you, every thing being on the top shelf and having to move things out of the way just so I can get through gaps. My wheelchair is a godsend it's my only access to the outside world and I really love being outside one of the reasons I love my job. This Friday ill find out if I can keep my beloved job and my dream.........

Babies

Today I went along to my best friends little boys 2nd birthday party he was so excited that all these little people had come to see him. At my parties I used to be worried that no one would turn up to mine they probably wouldn't of done if there was no alcohol available. But parties are always a great way to boost your mood well at least until you see the piles of pots and cake crushed into your new carpet but probably the best day of your dogs life. There's nothing more pleasurable then seeing a smile on a child's face even over the sight of a balloon or an alight candle ready to suck and not blow. After seeing all these little happy faces has made me even more broody then I already was I am aware that they are not happy all of the time but makes up for all the crying they sometimes do. So think its time I found a man or at least an ejaculation.....

Fathers or Dads

They say anyone can be a dad but takes someone special to be a father? And can anyone be a mum or does it take someone special to be a mother. Do you think things have changed over the decades.? Would you talk to your parents the way you see some children speak to there's in this generation. I remember telling my dad to f#*k off once he hit me so hard across the legs I never did again. What about the craze off goodie goodie parents is it wrong or right to hit your children in private or public. Do parents still have as much patience as they did centuries ago? What's the limits of being a parent. I'm not saying the naughty chair doesn't work I've seen it work but have we changed the ways in which we discipline our children for the better or for the worse. Should we bring the cane back into schools and send our children off to the army once they leave school? Would that bring gangs and ASBO's to an end or have we destroyed our children over the years by cutting back on discipline. I'm not a parent myself so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but the majority of my friends do. Do you think having a child too early in life is a good thing or having one later in life better? Is there  a better connection with children being closer to the age of there parents or is a larger Better? Is this where we've being going wrong or right?

Mini meltdown

The mail arrived as it normally does (time dependable) sometimes late if its wet or snowing there not allowed to deliver in certain weather conditions apparently maybe I should take this up with my own employer. Anyway nothing exciting in the post but needed to make an angry phone call won't bore you with the details ( that's what facebook's for). After slamming the phone down I threw my crutches across the living room floor in anger ( felt good at the time) but then I realised I was now stranded in my own lounge with no one home I had to shuffle across the floor ( not even slightly graceful) To my beloved new mobility legs i didn't know whether to laugh or cry in the end i decided on both. No crutches were harmed in the making of this blog.

2 weeks before this date I was adventuring on a new journey..... professional boxing (sort of) well it kind of ended before it began really. I jumped which is quite normal in squat jumps but being totally exhausted I only jumped a couple of inches (yes inches) possibly centimetres actually I got a spasm and sharp pain in my left foot so I walked it off (hobbling slightly). Next morning my foot was black off to a&e I went one X-ray later it's just badly bruised after the joke I thought you boxed with your hands not your feet ( really I never knew that). One week later 15th may I went back to hospital as now both feet swollen and still one black foot. Two hours later I was hit with the condition Charcot arthropathy a complication of type 1 diabetes but quite rare at my young age (coughs 26). I'm a naughty diabetic paying the price now unfortunately story of my life. But the news crushed me bearing in mind I'm a dog walker in real life so bye bye boxing professional athlete and hello 8 weeks in air casts hmmm cripple came to mind and thought life was over in which it was for a week. Then my brain said I was being selfish and there are worse off people than myself so I picked myself off the floor (with crutches obviously not that naughty) rubbed my puffy wet eyes and sat down which is where I'll be sitting for the next 4 weeks until my wheelchair comes in the next 15 weeks I am aware that doesn't makes sense??
